Show LOSESSAVINGS CERTIFICATE Tony Kampas, a miner at Frisco, recently had the mis- fortune to lose his cabin and its contents by fire. Perhaps the saddest loss in the small con- flagration was the burning of his 3 2 War-savings Certificates which he had purchased to help win the war against the kaiser. These thirty-two stamps repre- sent an investment of about $132 of hard-earned savings. As he had failed to have the certificates registered at the postoffice at the time of pur- chase there is probably no way of having the lost money re- deemed. It is practically the same thing as losing that much paper money in the flames. INSPECT FARM MACHINERY The week of March 4, 1918, has been selected as the time when we should carefully ex- amine every farm Implement we expect to use in 191 S crop production and make out a list of repairs needed for that ma- chine, if any. Then place this list of repairs needed with our implement dealer, that he may send for the parts he does not have in stock, so that each ma- chine may be put in working or- der before it is needed in the field. The earnest co-operation of every loyal American is re- quested in this movement. |
