Show ARE YOU AN ASSET? People who are an asset to society and people who are not were classified classi-fied by Wil T. Morris in an instructive instruct-ive talk given to the students of the high school last Monday morning. Mr. Morris divided the "worthwhile" "worth-while" people into three classes: the receptive, the productive and the creative. The others he divided as the depressed, the ostentatious and the destructive. After building this ladder, he made interesting applications ap-plications of his theory to the various vari-ous fields of pleasure, art and society Mr. Morris indicated that the proper attitude towards all these things could be developed through the right kind of education. He concluded by reading the little poem by James Russell Lowell called "Longing." |
