Show COMMUNITY SPIRIT NEEDED THE little city of Cedar is setting an example to her neighbors in the southwest that should make 'em sit up and take notice. Cedar City calls herself her-self the "Gate-Way to the Southwest." In reality she is an inner door. Milford is so situated that she should become the really and truly gateway of Southwest South-west Utah. For Milford is the division station on the Salt Lake Route with two excellent hotels and three garages. Milford Mil-ford should be the point of outfitting for interior trips to all the rich and scenic section of the Dixie, Little Zion and even the Grand Canyon country. But Cedar is rightfully grasping every legitimate opportunity for effective advertising. ad-vertising. Cedar City has a Commercial Commer-cial Club of local business men that are alive to the best interests of their community com-munity as a whole. They acknowledge that it is because they want their town to become well known and to secure all the advertising and advantages that they can secure for Cedar City. They also acknowledge that it is not unselfishness unself-ishness that prompts them to be such boosters. They are far-sighted enough to see that whatever adds to the greatness great-ness and prosperity of the community enhances the value of every individual's property and business. They have found that a few hours spent in some boosting enterprise for Cedar City always al-ways returns in the long run a hundred fold in benefits to the individuals. ' n |
