Show FREE GARDEN WATER You cannot grow a garden in this town without water. While there is plenty of land it must have water, to mature vegetables. Dry farming may be made a success suc-cess in some favored places but the smaller places for home gardens will have to have water for irrigation. There has been a chairman appointed to secure the co-operation of lot owners in greater food production. But the question of water is the first question raised. It is understood under-stood that many places are furnishing free water for garden gar-den growing in the cities and towns. Other places are furnishing water at a reduced rate for the purpose. What can Milford do? Have we sufficient water to be so used? And can it be made available? We learn that the matter will be taken up with the city board at a meeting to be held Saturday night. If extra help and pumping is all that is necessary there should surely be found a way to furnish same. "The fly is the tie that binds the unhealthy to the healthy!" |
