Show j PAROWAN CITY TAX LEVY SET i Parowan City's tax levy for the I year 1928 will be 24 mills according to a resolution adopted by the City j Council at a special session last Sat-I Sat-I urday evening, called for the purpose ! of fixing the levy. The apportion-1 apportion-1 ment of the levy for the various purposes pur-poses is as follows: Bond Sinking Fund 6 mills Bond Interest . 6 mills Contingent Fund 5 mills Library 2 mills Street and Sidewalks 2 mills Special Water ; 2 mills Improvement Guaranty Fund, i 1 mill. While these amounts will provide inadequate funds to meet the various requirements, -particularly for the bond interest and sinking funds, the council feels that by rigid economy it can make up the difference from revenues received from other sources. It therefore placed the levy no higher high-er with the thought of saving the taxpayers tax-payers as much as possible. The City's valuation for taxation purposes is in round figures $388,0(00 Parowan Times. |
