TUNNEY K. O's HEENEY Gene Tunney retained the heavyweight championshjp last , night in his fight in New York with Tom Heeney, by knocking out the big New Zealander in the 11th round of their scheduled 15-round bout. The damage was done in the 10th round, when Tunney landed land-ed blows at will. One listener here on the radio counted nine successive wallops that Tunney landed. Heeney was knocked through the ropes, and was knocked out all through the rest period, although the bell saved him at the close of this round. It is not quite clear whether Heeney resumed in the 11th and was put away, or whether he was unble to answer the bell.
