Show SOCIETY Social Hour Club V The Social Hour Club of South Milford met at the club house last Thursday with Mrs. Joseph Hickman and Mrs. Myron Hanchett as hostesses. host-esses. The exhibits of the Household Arts for the coming fair, and also plans for the flower show, were discussed dis-cussed at length. A complete report of the flower show committe is printed print-ed elsewhere in thi.s issue. Those hostesses served delicious refreshments re-freshments at prettily arranged ta-j ta-j bles. The guests of the afternoon were j Mrs. Walter Griffiths, Mrs. Leslie ; Emce, of Salt Lake City, Miss Nina j Patterson and Mrs. Fred O'Leary. j The club will meet at the home of Mrs. Bert Ryssman on Thursday, August 2. Birthday Observed y Mrs. Spence Schow entertained with a bridge party Wednesday evening, in honor of her husband's birthday. The ladies' prize wa3 won by Mrs. Jack Thiessen; the men's by Frank Farmer, and consolation by Mrs. Sam Hickman. Refreshments were served to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Thiessen, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Livergood, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Farmer, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hickman, and Mr. and Mrs. Rue Neilson. Bridge Party at Hanging Rock '" Mrs. Fred Levi entertained the Old Friends Club and guests at Hanging Rock, Thursday. Mrs. P. J. Evans won the guest prize and Mrs. W. E. Fernley, Fern-ley, the club prize. Lunch was served to the following club members: Mesdames W E. Fernley, Fern-ley, A. Johnson, Scott Tanner, Karl Levi, Bert Price, Harvey Hedges and M. H. Pool. The guests were Mesdames Mes-dames J. M. Williams, T. W. Campbell, Camp-bell, P. J Evans, and Evelyn Cran-dell, Cran-dell, of Long Beach Miss Bardsley Complimented v Mrs. L. E. Chilton entertained at a 500 party last week in honor of Miss Maxine Bardsley. The first prize was won by Mrs. Spence Schow and the consolation by Mrs. Sam Hickman. A delicious lunch was served to Mrs. Spence Schow, Mrs. Merrill Edwards, Mrs. Frank Crookston, Mrs. Jack Thiessen Mrs. Tex Young, Mrs. Nolan Hollingshead, Miss Maxine Bardsley, and the hostess, Mrs. Chilton. Chil-ton. Auxiliary Gets Charter The American Legion Auxiliary of Milford entertained at a luncheon in honor of M. Alice Collins, state presi- dent of the Auxiliary, at the dining roof of the Union Pacific depot, Friday Fri-day evening, July 29th. The occasion was the presentation of the charter to the local president, Mrs. "Marie S. Lewis. Places were set for twelve, j Weiner Roast ,The Misses Eva Coleman and Mar-''"garrt. Mar-''"garrt. Cochrane entertained Monday e .ki.' in honor of Eloise and Leonard Leon-ard Clark, of S.-ilt Lake. A .weiner roast was enjoyed. The present were Mr. and Mrs. Wilcox, and cousin, Bill Cochrane, LuZene Jennings, Wallace Moore, Glenn Stonchockcr, Beth Coleman, Cole-man, Alan Davis, Helen Carlson, Eva Coleman, Jack Patterson, Gladys Coleman, Cole-man, and Rev. Homer Root. Swimming Party Rev. Homer E. Root entertained Tuesday evening in honor of Eloise and Leonard Clark at Roosevelt Hot Springs, with a swimming party. Those present were LuZcne Jennings, Margaret Cochrane, Beth Coleman, Eva Coleman, Gladys Coleman, Wallace Wal-lace Moore, Horace Palmer and Alan Davis. |
