Show CALL FOR REPUBLICAN STATE CONVENTION Milford, Utah, July 23, 1928. PRECINCT CHAIRMAN In pursuance of a resolution adopted adopt-ed by the Republican State Committee Com-mittee at its meeting held at Salt Lake City, May 3, 1928, a Republican Republi-can State Convention is hereby called to meet at the Elks Lodge, Ogden Utah, August 16, 1928, at ten o'clock A. M., for the purpose of placing in nomination the following officers to be voted for at the General Election Tuesday, November G, 1928 ; A United States Senator for a term of six years. . , A Governor for a term of 4 years. A Secretary-of-State for a term of four years. An Attorney-General for a term of four years. A State Treasurer for a term of four years. A State Auditor for a term of four years. A Superintendent of Public Instruction Instruc-tion for a term of four years. A Justice of the Supreme Court for a term of ten years. A Justice of the Supreme Court for a term of two years. Four Presidential Electors. The election of a State Committe and for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the convention. Said convention shall consist of 881 delegates based upon an apportionment apportion-ment of one delegate for each M0 votes or major fraction thereof cast for the Honorable Reed Smoot for United States Senator, November 2, 192G. Upon this apportionment each precinct will have representation as follows: Beaver 4 delegates Minersville 2 delegates Milford 3 "delegates TOTAL 9 delegates You are therefore directed to call primaries in your precinct and elect delegates and alternates to the said convention, in the usual manner and i certify their election to the County Chairman not later than Monday, August 13, 1928.
