FIRE LADS SHOW THEIR EFFICIENCY RESPOND TO ALARM IN RECORD TIME The efficiency of the Milford Volunteer Vol-unteer Fire Department was never shown to better effect than in a fire early last Saturday morning. The fire was in a shed, well surrounded sur-rounded by buildings, and located to the rear of the Singleton home in the south part of town. The alarm blew at 1:05 A. M. and at 2:20 the last spark was extinguished. Despite the lateness, or earliness, of the hour, eighteen firemen, out of a total membership of twenty in the department, got out of bed and hustled hust-led to the scene of the fire.
