Show LOCALS WIN WILD BASEBALL GAME DEFEAT RICHFIELD IN HOLIDAY MIX Milford defeated Richfield in the baseball game here on Pioner Day, by a score of 18 16. As the score indicates, the game was a weird one, featured by free hitting and by loose support tendered the pitchers. Bean started chucking for Milford but was ineffective and gave way to Thiessen. The latter was "in pretty good shape and kept the hits fairly well scattered, with the exception of in the seventh inning, when the visitors visit-ors drove in five runs. Hermansen toiled on the mound for Richfield but tired at the seventh, when he yielded to Johnson, who was unable to get a single man out and Smith finished up the game. I The top-heavy scores were the result re-sult of eight runs by Richfield in the first stanza, and a nine run rally by the locals in the eighth.T he game was much more interesting than the score would indicate. Features were the hitting of Ellis, visiting catcher, who garnered four hits, and. a home run by Livergood, who drove the ball to deep centerfield and out of the park.
