Show High School Notes Parent-Teacher Meeting Held The monthly meeting of P. T. A. was held Monday evening February 29 at 8:00 in the high school auditorium. auditor-ium. The people were well entertained entertain-ed by a program given by the , students of the grade schools. The program centered around the theme of George Washington playlets, drills, and ,musical numbers were given. Leap Year Dance The high school gymnasium was the scene of a big leap year dance Monday evening February 29.. All the girls of the high school proved themselves to be one hundred per cent sports. They invited the boys to the dance, and showed them a marvelous time after they got them there. We'll have to "hand it" to the girls for "putting over" a lovely party. Everyone had a good time. We suggest sug-gest that we have several "leap year dances." Rev. McNeil Presents Interesting Program The Rev. Dallas McNeil furnished a very interesting program last Thursday Thurs-day in assembly. He sang three songs among which were "Gypsy Love' Song," and "Sylvia." These were received very favorably. After the rendition of these numbers num-bers he addressed the students on the subject of "High School as the Filling Fill-ing Station of Life." He used a very interesting figure of speech when he urged the students to "fill up" at this filling station, so that they wouldn't run out of gas on life's highway. Everyone enjoyed the program immensely. im-mensely. Milford Defeated By Beaver The sad truth must "out." Beaver met Milford here on Milford's floor Friday night, February 26 and defeated de-feated Milford Tigers 13-11. "Sherm" and "Ed," two of our prominent players, were declared ineligible. in-eligible. The rest of "our boys" put up a marvelous fight and were ahead at the end of the first half. But during dur-ing the second half Beaver proved too much for us. When the whistle blew they "had" us hy two points. 0 |
