Show A CORRECTION In our last issue it was inadvertently inadver-tently stated that the inability of the Beaver State Bank to secure a loan owing to the failure of the Deseret National Bank was one of the reasons rea-sons given for the closing of the Beaver bank. This was an error inasmuch in-asmuch as it was the Deseret Savings Sav-ings Bank which closed and not the Deseret National. The Deseret National Na-tional Bank was taken over by and consolidated with the Security National Na-tional Bank and has operated with no interference in its activities. After Af-ter consolidation the Security National Na-tional Bank has a capital of $750,-000.00, $750,-000.00, surplus of $250,000.00 and undivided profits and reserves of $250,000.00. Unfortunately, due to the similarity of names it is quite possible for the public to be confused between the two banks but the Deseret Des-eret National Bank and the Deseret Savings Bank were entirely separate institutions. |
