Show SCHOOL OPERA TO BE PRESENTEDMARCH 11 Final touches are being put on the high school opera production. The performance is scheduled for Friday March 11. The group committees including scenery committee, artists, dancers, orchestra and chorus are working hard. Much enthusiasm is being shown by students in the work of producing the opera. It promises to be a first rate performance; done on a larger scale than heretofore. All evening rehearsals have been eliminated. elimin-ated. One feature of the production Mr. Hand the director and the faculty wish to make known is the efficiency with which the students have gone about the business of learning and rehearsing the various parts. No time has been wasted and this opera will have been given with fewer rehearsals rehears-als therefore than many a production of the past. Special attention has been given to elimination of expensive expen-sive evening rehearsals. Practices takes place in the early mornings. The orchestra with vocalists and ensemble vocal numbers have been practicing morning from 7:30 till 9:00. The chorus of GO voices have made the opera part of their regular course of study during the daily class hour. The school is proud of this year's opera production and invite the public pub-lic to attend a splendid performance. Finer, higher grade music, specially special-ly made and painted scenery and picturesque pic-turesque costuming in lovely Hawaiian Hawai-ian mode; greater numbers participating partici-pating in cast, chorus orchestra. It is very much worth your while. Come and see it Friday, March 11. |
