Show Oh! Yes; He Knew Them. Not long ago Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilcox took a trip to Jamaica. Mrs. Wilcox Is better known to tho reading world as "Ella Wheeler Wilcox." As the ship sailed out ot New York harbor, Mr. and Mrs. Wilcox were Joined on tho deck by one of those self-sufflclent beings who nro on every passenger list. Without Invitation this passenger plumped himself down by them and opened a conversation. He claimed the acquaintance of almost every literary person of prominence In New York and after a time he spoke of Ella Wheeler Wilcox evidently not having examined the passenger list. "Do you know her?" asked Mrs, Wilcox, calmly, "Dp I know her!" exclaimed the stranger, "I should say I do. Know her husband, too Robert Wilcox 'Bob Wilcox' nw call him. Oh, yes; Bob Wilcox Is a flno fellow!" "I'm glad you think so," said Mr. Wilcox, cordially, "for I am' Robert Wilcox and this Is my wife" |
