Show Likes Newspaper Business. Murray Eagle: The man who edits a newspaper news-paper cannot, as a rule, avoid treading on somebody's toes now and then. He must expect ex-pect to be censured often for unintentional failure fail-ure to please all his subscribers. He must ex-, pect hard words and little thanks and the un-pected un-pected will rarely happen. He must prepare himself to be called a coward If he does not air every petty neighbor's quarrel and private scandal In tho paper and a fool If he does He is expected to continually grind other people's axes and turn the grindstone himself. Still wc enjoy It and believe It to be one of the noblest professions on earth, and one In which an earnest, earn-est, honorable, conscientious man can do more good to his fellow man than in any other. |
