Show Winter meet of poetry society slated Mrs. Inez Cooper, president, of the Southern Utah Poetry Society, announces the winter meeting of the Society will be held Friday, Feb. 16, in the special Collections room, on the Terrace Level of the SUSC Library building at 8 pjn. An interesting meeting has been planned with Gladys torn as chairman, Ruth Ohallis in charge of musical numbers. Workshop and membership plans will be discussed, contest con-test goals and requirements will be listed, and membership member-ship participation encouraged. Johanna Brown reminds us that the Poetry Society Contest deadline for this year will be April 10th, so everyone should begin making plans to enter. Marian Ha line also reminds us that membership fees are new due for this membership year. They are six dollars, one for the local Society, and five dollars to go for State member, ship, and will be accepted at the meeting. Mrs. Iris Corry has arranged arrang-ed and set up work shops for member participation. There are bimonthly afternoon Thursday 1:30 and evtning Friday 8:00 o'clock periods.
