Show Lions plan mid-winter confab be Mr. Tris Coffin of Montreal, Montre-al, Quebec, Canada, 1st Vioe President of Lions International. Interna-tional. A prominent figure for over a quarter century. In private pri-vate life Mr. Coffin is an op-tician op-tician and has been a member of the Montreal Lions Club since 1939. Highlights of the 2-day convention con-vention will include the Dis-trict Dis-trict Governors Banquet Friday Fri-day night followed by a Saturday Sat-urday luncheon. Capping the activities will be the semi formal for-mal banquet Saturday night at the Terrace Ballroom. Lions Club members from throughout southern Utah, are making preparations for the State Mid-Winter Banquet and Convention to be held in Salt Lake City Friday and Saturday, Satur-day, February 9th and 10th. While the asnual event includes in-cludes an exciting whirl of social affairs, the main emphasis emph-asis concerns the important work of reviewing the National Nation-al and International efforts of Lions Clubs in behalf of sight conservation and other service projects. Special attention will be focused fo-cused on the Utah assembly as state officers report on progress pro-gress in the realm of hearing conservation. This is a new and, thus far, exclusive undertaking un-dertaking of Utah Lions Clubs which is generating a great deal of international interest. Key convention speaker will |
