Show Cedar Redmen to meet Hurricane team Cedar Redmen coming off a basketball Victory over the Delta Rabbits to put them in a tie for first place in the league standings will travel to Hurricane this week to meet the Tigers. Currently the Tigers are in the cellar of the AA division of Region Eight without a league win to their record. Regardless the Tigers can be tough, particularly on their home curt and Coach Dick HoWbs Is concerned about the Redmen becoming over confident confi-dent after the big win this past week over the Rabbits. Dispite the fact the Redmen should be considered the overwhelming over-whelming favorite in the contest. con-test. Saturday night the Redmen will be back on the home court in a non -league contest against the tough Cowtboys of Kanalb. The Kanab crew earlier earl-ier this season handed the Redmen a defeat and Coach Hobbs and his crew are hopeful hope-ful of avenging that defeat. The Cowboys are ranked as one of the top clubs in any division of play in the southern south-ern Utah area. Currently the Cowboys are leading the A division di-vision of Region Eight with an unblemished record. In other league action in the AA division Dixie will be at Delta and Millard draws the bye. If the Flyers are to stay in the running for the league c h a mpionslhiip they must defeat the Babbits at Delta this week. A loss would eliminate the Flyers from a shot at the crown this season, currently they are in third place one game off the pace Of the Redmen and Rabbits who are tied for the league lead. |
