Show Cedar City Chapter ofOES receives Grand Lecturer Cedar Chapter No. 20, Order of the Eastern Star met in special session Saturday evening, eve-ning, Jan. 27, at the Masonic Temple, to receive Mrs. Pearl McFall, Grand Lecturer of the Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star of Utah. Mrs. Candice Swing, worthy matron, and Percy Peters, worthy patron presided over the meeting. Gustin O. Gooding, Past Grand Patron; Mrs. MoFall, Grand Lecturer; Arlene Grey, Grand Treasurer; Marie Ends-ley Ends-ley and Alvlh Wright, Grand Representatives of the Utah Grand Chapter were intro. duced and escorted by Conductress Con-ductress Winifred Thompson, and extended a gracious welcome wel-come Iby the worthy matron. Forrest McFall, a first time visitor and husband of the Grand Lecturer, was introduced introduc-ed and welcomed toy the wor- thy patron. The ceremony of initiation was exemplified, at which time a now member was received re-ceived into the Order. Mrs. McFall's message to the Chapter Chap-ter included the Worthy Grand Matron's instructions for the ensuing year, and stressed the importance of the ritualistic ritual-istic work. A gift from the Chapter was presented to her by associate matron Gaye Thurston. Refreshiments were served following the meeting by Ruth Gardner, Marjorie Arrow-smith Arrow-smith and Floyd Eyman. Re-freshrnent Re-freshrnent tables werfi decorated decor-ated with pink carnations centered with pink and silver candelabra. Proceeding the evening meeting, a luncheon honoring Mrs. MoFall was 'held in tht La Tahada Room at Sullivans Calfe, followed by an afternoon after-noon of instructions at the Masonic Temple. Twenty-one members attended the luncheon. |
