Show BEGIN PREPARATIONS. Members of the Cedar City Art Committee have begun preparations for the 33rd annual Art Exhibit to be held in April. Cedar Art Committee plans April exhibit The Cedar City Art Committee Com-mittee under the direction of chairman Tom Leek has begun preparations for the Thirty-third Thirty-third Annual Cedar City Pro-fesional Pro-fesional Exhibit to be held from Saturday, April 21, 1973 through May 4, at the Cedar City South Elementary Multi-purpose Multi-purpose room. The hours will remain the same as last year: Monday through Friday, 8:30 ajm. until un-til 9:30 ipm. and from 2:00 p.m. until 9:30 pjm. on Saturday Satur-day and Sunday. The success of the Thirty-second Thirty-second Annual Exhibit was recapped by chairman Leek in the intial meeting of 1973. Mr. Leek also Issued a call to all patrons of the exhibit who may desire to submit to the Screening cam m i 1 1 e e names of artists who may wish to exhibit. The artists would, of course, need to meet the committee standards. Further business included a discussion of possible new members for the committee and the setting of the regular meeting time which will be the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. The committee com-mittee meets in room 5 at the Cedar City Public Library. Chairman Leek announced the need for additional funds this year to maintain the high quality of the exhibit. Chairman Chair-man Bob Gardner of the FI- ) nance committee will .be seeking seek-ing contributions to match the $1500 endowment from the National Endowment of Fine Arts through the Utah Instl-tute Instl-tute of Fine Arts. Contingent on receiving the $1500 will be the committee's ability to Taise the additional $1500 to match the endowment Patrons of the nationally recognized rec-ognized Cedar City Profession-al Profession-al Exhibit are urged to contribute con-tribute generously this year. |
