Show Redmen, Eagles tangle on mat tonight Cedar High School Redmen wrestlers will wind uip their regular season this evening, Thursday, when they take on the tough Millard Eagles In the Cedar City gymnasium. Matches are slated to begin at 7:30 pjm. On January 25 the Redmen traveled to Fillmore to meet the Eagles and sulffered their second defeat df the season. The Redmen have come back to defeat Panguiteh and Hur-ricane Hur-ricane since that match and 7in nrav mpftt the Eaiffles with a 15 win and two loss record. Coach Jofhn Pensis has been working his Redmen hard this week in preparation for th, match in hopes of avenging aveng-ing that loss as the Redmen did earlier in the season against Delta. At Millard the Eagles captured cap-tured a 25 to 16 victory pick-ing pick-ing uD seven individual match victories including one pin Blong the way. The Redmen won five of the matches and hope to change the outcome of some of the others in this evenings match. The following week. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16 and 17 the Redmen will enter the Region Re-gion Eight tournament. Only one man from each weight is eligible to advance to the Re-glon Re-glon and from Region only first and second place winners in their individual weights will adviance to the State finals fin-als to be staged in Cedar City. The match against Millard takes on added Importance when overall records at each weight are used to determine seeding in the Region tournament tourna-ment to b held next week, Coach Pensis pmpha5126- |
