Show Temple vows unite Porter and Crawford Holmes. They were assisted by Kathleen Abbott, Elizabeth Terry and Patricia Terry. The gifts were taken care of by Mrs. Gayle Crawford, Mrs. Bonnie Crawford, and Mrs. Paula Crawford. The unique wedding cake of 5 individual rounds was made by Mrs. Albert Clark and decorated with fresh flowers by an aunt, Mrs. Keith Abbott. Prior to the wedding the bride was feted at a shower given by Miss Laurie Jones and Mrs. Paula Porter. The newlyweds are making their home in Cedar where both will continue their education at SUSC. He is majoring in business and she in music. Both graduated as honor students from Cedar High. Mr. Crawford has completed com-pleted a mission for the LDS Church in Colorado-New Mexico., f I I 1 iff' -v ' ,VV N; MR. AND MRS. CURTIS CRAWFORD The mothers of the bridal pair wore long pink dresses accented with yellow rose corsages. Mrs. Gayle Abrams, a sister of the bridegroom, presided at the guest book; while aunts of the bride, Mrs. Keith Abbott, Mrs. Dean Terry, Mrs. LaMar Terry, and Mrs. Dee Porter assisted with the cake. Pouring the punch were Mrs. Rulon Woodbury, Mrs. D. C. Schmutz, Mrs. V. Terry, and Mrs. Leslie Burbidge. Young waiters doing the serving ser-ving were Terry Porter, Bradley Moss, Steven Thompson and Joe Miss Cherie Melonie Porter and Curtis H. Crawford became man and wife in rites solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple May 31. William H. Bennett, a member of the temple presidency and close friend of the bride's family, officiated at the double ring ceremony. Parents of the young Cedar City couple are Mr. and Mrs. Lerin Porter and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Crawford. Following the ceremony the Crawfords hosted the wedding dinner at Hotel Temple Square in Salt Lake. On June 7 the newlyweds were honored at a reception in the Cedar Stake House. The bride was lovely in a floor-length floor-length gown of white silk organza over satin. The empire waist, bodice of chantilly lace, full length sleeves and high neckline set the picture for "old-fashioned" "old-fashioned" elegance. A lace trim accented the waist and neckline. The long mantilla flowed into a train and the finger-tip bouffant veil drifted from a crown of pearls. She carried a bouquet of faberge and yellow roses with stephonotis, baby breath and trimmed with white lace streamers. Matrons of honor were Mrs. Merrily Bird (the bride's sister) and Mrs. Dennis (Paula) Porter (the bride's sister-in-law). Bridesmaids were Misses Laurie Jones, Sheri Nakken, and ReNae Crawford. The attendants wore floor-length yellow and white gowns of empire styling. They carried bouquets of long-stemmed long-stemmed faberge roses off-set with baby breath, white stephonotis and pink satin ribbon streamers. Sharing honors as best man were Kerry Crawford and Voy Matheson. The ushering was done by Dennis Porter, Dennis Bird, and Allan and Glen Crawford. |
