Show f v. 0 ALTHEA BROWN Althea Brown to serve LDS mission Althea Brown of the Cedar Fourteenth Ward has been called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Indianna Mission. She will enter the Mission Home in Salt Lake City on July 6. Mrs. Brown is the mother of ten children and the widow of the late John M. Brown. Her family is outstanding in their accomplishments. ac-complishments. She has held many Church positions - in the Primary Presidency, Primary Stake Board, President of Relief Society, and President of YM-MIA, YM-MIA, as well as a teacher in most of the Auxiliaries. Her most recent position was serving as Ward Leader of the Special Interest Group. She has also been active in civic positions - as a past president of the Parent-Teacher Association, on the Coordinating Council, and a president of the American Legion Auxiliary two terms. |
