Show Ladies softball team downs Milford 14to8 The Parowan softball team traveled to Milford Wednesday, Wednes-day, June 20, for a league game. Parowan was victorious , with a 14 to 8 final score. Parowan was up to bat first but made no runs. Milford then brought in four runs. In the second inning the Parowan Paro-wan team members each got a chance to bat and some good hits were made. With two runners on each time, two home runs were hit over the left and center field by Kathy Teeter and Judy Tonahill. Milford made four more runs and at the end of the second inning the score was Parowan 9 and Milford 8. With Chic Walnus pitching for the Parowan team, the ladies held Milford in check and after the second inning no runs were made by Milford for the rest of the game. In the fourth inning, Parowan Paro-wan succeeded in scoring five more runs. Dallas Barton got a nice third base hit over left field and Judy Tonahill hit her second home run of the game. With both teams really playing a great game, it was three up and three down for each team in the fifth and no more runs were made. The game ended with Parowan 14 and Milford 8. After the game both teams enjoyed a Chinese dinner at the Hong Kong Cafe. The next two games will be in Cedar City, Thursday, June 28. Parowan will play Robert's 66 and on July 5 Parowan meets First Security. |
