Extra base hits were doubles by Vance Mathe-son Mathe-son and Rollo of Del Rich and a double by Eric Chamberlain of UI. a 15-4 victory over Parowan. Canyonlands bombarded the Parowan crew with six home runs with Doug Hall collecting three home runs in the game. Other round trippers were scored by Kim Neilson, Brad Meyers and Bryan Jackson for the Canyonlands crew. Neilson was equally effective on the mound limiting Parowan to just two hits in the contest. In other action Friday it was Del Rich defeating Southern runs in the fourth. Steve Stoker started the frame with a double scored on a single by Bret Smith and Smith came in to score on a single by Greg Clark. State Bank pushed in an insurance insur-ance run in the fifth, without benefit of a hit. Bret Smith was the winning pitcher giving up just four hits in his shutout victory. Cal Pac. nushed in three runs in the second inning to take a lead in the contest but Utah International put it all together In the fourth frame with six hits and scored all eight of their runs in the frame.
