Show Jamboree to draw wide interest Don Franklin, considered one of the nation's most outstanding square dance callers will be the special guest of the Hey Cedar Square Dance Club at their annual jamboree scheduled schedul-ed July 6 and 7. Square Dancers from throughout through-out the area are Invited to be In attendance at the Jamboree to hear Franklin's latest recordings re-cordings and rianf the ''" calls under the stars at the Cedar City Parte. The two-day Jamboree will open on Friday, July 6 with a dance at the City Park tennis courts beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday morning a breakfast break-fast will be held at the Town and Country Inn from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. That will be followed by more dancing at the city park with guest callers. Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. Franklin will conduct a workshop work-shop at the Cedar Junior High School Girls gymnasium. Concluding activities will be held Saturday evening with dancing again at the city park beginning at 8 p.m. witn Franklin expecting to keep the dancers whirling. Grand March is scheduled at 8:30 p.m. The activities will conclude at 11:30 p.m. with an after dancing dinner to be served at the Southern Utah State College student center. Annually the Jamboree draws dancers from both Utah and Nevada and the appearance of Franklin is expected to enhance en-hance the attendance this year to make it one of the biggest and best in the history of the event officers of the Hey Cedars Ced-ars Indicate. .i |
