Show County PTA Officers Elected i The Iron County PTA Council officers for 1977-78 have been elected, each pledging to help upgrade the relationship between parents and students. Officers are: Mrs. Kathryn Ipson, president; Mrs. Roxey Stokes, 1st Vice president: Dr. Clarin Marris, 2nd vice president; Stan Shakespeare, 3rd vice president; Mrs. Mavis Bishop, secretary-treasurer. Commissioners of the council include Mrs. Susan Bonzo, services; Mrs. Allison Bushnell, membership mem-bership and finance; Mr. Linda Burbidge, individual development; Mr. Carolyn Hinton, health and welfare; and Mrs. Janine Jolley, education committee. Mrs. Ipson said their goal for this school year is to assit the National and State PTA in helping the child and his parents to raise the stan-dardes stan-dardes of home life, "to have a closer relationship bet- i ween the parents and teachers, and to secure for every child the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spritual education." "If you have read the newspapers lately, you know what the PTA us doing to fight TV violence," Mrs. Ipson continued. "We as a council support them in this endeavor and feel the 20 cents that each of use pay to National PTA when we join is one way all of us can give our support." Mrs. Ipson said every parent is encouraged to become involved in the lives of their children and PTA, and support the present council. |
