Show Parent-Student Cooperation Needed at CHS dividual must be a full time student in order to be eligible to represent his or her school in inter-scholastic competition. As full time student at CHS must be attending six periods of school perday. Nostudentis eligible to represent his-hor school if he-she is failing more than one subject. When a student has failed to meet these minimum requirements, they will also be ineligible for participation par-ticipation in UHSAA activities ac-tivities in the succeeding grading periods for until such deficiencies are corrected. Students who represent CHS in inter-scholastic competitions must abstain from the use of alcohol, tobacco and drugs unless they are prescribed drugs from your doctor. Parents can help the school by seeing that their children who are students conform with these requirements. "It is a fact that the possession of any one of these three items by a student under 19 years of age is also against the law of the State of Utah." Parents are urged to aid in the attendance policies of CHS, seeing that their children make all of their classes regularly. Student absences lor illness or other family problems are necessary but it is important to not support children in cutting classes or non-attendance non-attendance of a class for other reasons. "We are attempting to help each home develop the attitude of being responsible for one's own actions. This attitude is very important in the development of a success pattern for life," closed Dr. jlawley. "We here at Cedar High School need the help of every one of you. There are rules and regulations that must be lived up to and enforced here at the school," stated principal of CHS, Dr. Jerald S. Hawley, in a recent letter to all parents of SCHS students.
