The new and expanded facilities, pictured above, is located on Industrial Road, Grand Opening is scheduled this week end. t New Home for Canyonland Petroleum as much as it used to in a month. CAPCO has come a long way over the few years of existence, and Dave and Howard both feel that the future will be exciting and challenging. One thing is certain, CAPCO is ready and willing to grow and, if hecessary, change to meet future conditions. , the area. CAPCO takes pride in the fact that even during the fuel crisis, they were able to supply products to their customers and even took on many new customers and businesses. CAPCO is headed by a unique working partnership with Dave Evans and Howard Munson in a corporation. They work together with seemingly few problems. Howard Munson came to Cedar City in 1969 from California where he had been employed as, an elementary school teacher. Dave Evans started working with Phillips 66 'in 1961 at Salt Lake City. He transferred to Price, in 1964, and then moved to Cedar City two years later. Dave mentioned that when he first started in the fuel oil business in Cedar City, that he was making deliveries from a 400 gallon tank mounted on a ton pickup. Today the job is accomplished ac-complished by two tank wagons with a total capacity of 3,100 gallons, plus three tankers. In 'one day tow CAPCO can handle Canyonland Petroleum Company, known as CAPCO, has : recently moved to a new permanent per-manent facility at 1100 West Industrial Road. The new facility is designed to meet current needs and future expansion and is equipped with offices, warehouse, bulk plant and gas pumps all in the same location. Canyonland Petroleum began in January of 1972 with offices in the old Riddle warehouse on 400 North and 100 West. It then moved offices to 960 North Main where it remained about a year, until about 18 months moved to the temporary quarters behind Savemore Arco, downtown; Cedar. While there plans were drawn up for a new facility, and now that is a reality. ' Canyonland Petroleum supplies sup-plies all the ARCO products, throughout this area. Originally:! started out with three Cedar City stations. Now there are stations in St. George, Beaver, Caliente, Nev., Midvalley, Hatch, En- terprise, Brian Head, Parowan,i Beryl Crossroads, and soon a new station will be operated in1 Orderville, and another in Cedar, City. CAPCO recently took on a new, line of Summit tires and will be distributed to ARCO stations in |
