Other Achievement Awards won by the Cedar City Club are: Participation in the National Foundation Program, Excellence Ex-cellence of our Scrap Book, Bicentennial Bi-centennial Program, An Outstanding Out-standing Program Year, and Seventy-five percent Equalization. BPW members attend Ogden confab By Candace L. Ewing Eleven members of the Cedar City Business and Professional Womens Club traveled to Ogden to attend the Convention of the State Federation of BPW Clubs held June 4, 5, 6th. Those making the trip were: President Blanche LeBaron, first vice-president, Elizabeth Dewsnup, second vice-president, vice-president, Alida VanGroningen, treasurer, Karla Hulet, Naomi Harrison, Edna Sargent, Leta Cowley, Eula Gardner, Mamie Eck, Elizabeth Brown and Susan Gardner. They report that our club received recognition and a number of awards of which they are very proud. The Traveling Gavel which is given to the club that travels the most miles to attend the convention, was won by Cedar City for the third consecutive time. This makes it a permanent possession now and will be engraved with the name of our club. Susan Gardner, our Career Girl, won first place in the state competition which makes her eligible to represent Utah at the National Convention to be held July 25-29th at Denver, Colorado.
