Show PARAGON AH NEWS I By Hilma Lamoreaux Mr. Douglas Barton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Barton was married to Miss Julie Maxfield on Fri. June 18 at the bride's home in Salt Lake City. Parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Barton and Carl Dean traveled to the city for the wedding and the lovely garden reception which followed. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barton and small daughter of Cedar City also traveled north for the wedding. - I i Members of the family visited , overnight with June's brother-in law and sister, Gary and Sherma Eves and their children. " Mr. and Mrs. James H., Anderson An-derson traveled to Salt Lake City last week to attend the temple Williams family of Cedar City joined them along with all the Orton family. Mrs. Thoman's sons. Lynn Mosdell of Las Vegas and Dale Mosdell and his wife and two children were here from St. George. Mrs. Larry Clark and two children of Henderson, Nev. spent several days here recently with Mrs. Penny Ward and her children. Gerald Ward and David Robinson are home again after two weeks at Camp Williams for National Guard Summer Camp, , Mrs. David Robinson and little daugfhter arrived home on Sat. after two weeks in Tohatchi, New Mexico with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Bitsilly. Mrs. Bitsilly and other family members brought her home again. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robb I here for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thornton. Mr. and Mrs. Victor R. Robinson and daughter Toni Jean and Mr. William T. Davenport were here overnight Sat. from Ogden. Sat. afternoon all available members of Mr. Davenports family were together here. Mrs. Rachael Smith came from Sandy; Mr. and Mrs. Kay Hansen from Salt Lake City; Jay Davenporet from Summit and Mrs. Dott Smith from Parowan. The young ladies of the Ward, 13 in number, and two of their leaders, Mrs. Hazel Jean Robinson and Mrs. Vivian Robb spent three days in Horse Valley last week on their annual summer sum-mer outing. They stayed at the Clair Robinson summer home and enjoyed hiking outdoor sDorts and such activities. Boyd wedding of their grandson, Robert Limb of Beaver and the reception which followed. The wedding was on Fri. 18 and the reception was at a Stake Center. The bride is Diane Spencer, daughter of Mrs. Delorus Spencer of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Barton and son Carl Dean were to Salt Lake City overnight Fri. to attend at-tend the wedding and reception. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Robb and girls of Price were in the area all last week. They visited here with Gene's parents Mr. and Mrs. La grand Robb and in Cedar with Sandra's people. Mrs. Bertha S. Topham reports a delightful visit from six of her cousins from Richfield who were here on Fri. and took her out to dinner. The visitors were Thomas and Loa Yardley, their daughters Mary Ann Bjerregard and Carol Marjam, Mrs. Althea Yardley and Mrs. Larue Yardley Kump. Mrs. Bertha S. Topham had returned home from Washington earlier in the week with the Doyle Tophams of Delta. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Barton hosted a family party at their home in Horse Valley on Sun. as all of Helen's sisters were here for the Orton funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dailey came from Riverton, Wyo. and son Roger had arrived from San Diego earlier in the week. Mrs. Thelma Thoman came from Prescott, Ariz, and the Dallen traveled to Salt Lake City on Fri. to attend the State Democratic Convention and were there for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson traveled to Orem on Sat. to take Becky and Todd Robinson home again. Irene will stay there for a week or so to visit relatives. David Pack of Salt Lake City arrived here Fri. night to spend the weekend with the Blaine Jones family and get his wife and two children who have been visiting here. Mr. and Mrs. Don Barton and Myron Abbott traveled to Salt Lake City on Fri. to take Don to see his doctor. They returned home the same day. Donnine and Blake Benson, children of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Benson of Lawton, Oklahoma arrived here on Thurs. to visit with the Myron Abbott family and other relatives in the area. Mrs. Lenna Mae Judd and the majority of her family including Bonnie and her children of Salt Lake City were to Woods Ranch in Cedar Canyon on June 12- to attend a reunion of the Eli Judd family. Albin was unable to go so he and his wife traveled to Fredonia on Sun. to see some of the family. Gordon Judd accompanied his sister Bonnie and her children to Salt Lake City on Thurs. last. Mr. and Mrs. Al Oberg of San Diego, Calif, have been visiting Robinson was the Priesthood Advisor and . traveled to the mountains each night to camp near the girls. Mrs. Gaytha Benson, Julie and Joey of Beaver were Sun. visitors at the Joe Lamoreaux home. Mrs. Mina Brown, and boys of Cedar City also visited at the Lamoreaux home on Mr. Frank K. Williamson observed his 92nd birthday on Sat. and family members arranged a party, in his honor at the Sheldon Benson home in Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Williamson helped host the affair and a number of old friends enjoyed a delicious dinner and visiting. ' Mr. and Mrs. Larry Robb and their family of Henderson, Nev. were here for the weekend with Larry's mother, Mrs. Nina Robb. Frank Dunton was released from the LDS hospital in Salt Lake City the latter part of last week and was to rest for a few days at the Ed Fuhriman home before returning to Paragonah. Mrs. Dunton and Connie traveled back to Salt Lake City on Tues. to be near him until he is able to come home. Miss Kay Wylie and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wylie of San Diego spent last week at the Phillip Debus vacation home and were able to visit all of the southern Utah Parks during their stay. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wyatt had visitors last week. Son Wendell and his fiancee Miss Kathy Fowler were here from Huntington Beach, Calif, from Wed. to Fri. and enjoyed a trip to Zions Canyon. Young Mr. Wyatt has just graduated from a Long Beach University in the field of Business Administration. |
