Show 0 E S holds Business Meet By Lelah Wilson Cedar Chapter No. 20, Order of the Eastern Star, met in regular session Monday evening June 14, at the Masonic Temple. Mrs. Edith Kirtley worthy matron, presided, assisted by Ted Aaron, worthy patron. A business meeting was conducted at which time members voted to dispense with regular meetings during the months of July and August with the secretary and treasurer remaining active in case of an emergency. Plans were formulated for the annual 'Robert Morris Day family picnic. This year the picnic will be held at the Pine Valley recreation area, Sunday,. August 1, at 3 p.m. More information in-formation will be available at a later date. Bernice and Lonie Williams became members of Cedar Chapter by affiliation and were extended a gracious welcome by the officers and members. Bernice and Clayton Lewis were welcomed back after an absence of a year. They are former residents of Cedar City, now residing in Lexington, Kentucky Immediately following the meeting, the group enjoyed a social hour and refreshments served by Edith Kirtley, Can-dace Can-dace Ewing and Frank Quinn. |
