Show Leaders win asain in American LL The three league leading teams of the American Little League accomplished the expected ex-pected during the past week by each winning two games. The strong Rotary Club team opened the second half of play at the Kiwanis Ball Park on Monday night by bouncing the determined deter-mined Coleman team 19 to 4 with David Gregerson pitching. The Rotary team also finished the weeks baseball activity in the second game on Friday by outdistancing the Kiwanis Club team 18 to 3. Rick Lunt was the winning pitcher on Friday. Carter Brothers team got its two wins by belting Milne Truck Line 37 to 5 on Tuesday and out hitting Coleman 18 to 4 on Thursday. Thursday's game saw the Carter team hit the opening pitch and produce a two inning rally of 18 runs which Coleman could not over come. Corry Nieldson pitched the contest while Todd Sellers poked a bases loaded home run. Darren Marquardson hit a home run for the losers. ' . The other league leader, Spillsbury-Graff, found its first win of the week on Wednesday by a score of 15 to 1 against Kiwanis. Jim Park was the hero of the game by pitching a winner and hitting a first inning home run. They came back again in the first game on Friday to face a much imporved Milne Team. . Spillsbury-Graff emerged the victor by 10 to 5 behind the steady pitching arm of Doug Nelson. Robert Bissetti hit a two run homer for Milne. The league standings remain unchanged. |
