Show Eldon Schmutz elected to Bankers group Eldon W. Schmutz, vice president and cashier of the State Bank of Southern Utah in Cedar City has been elected to the board of directors of the Utah Bankers Association. Elections of officers and board members was held Tuesday in conjuction with the organizations annual convention held at Sun1 Valley, Idaho. Named as president of the Association was Mervin D. Bortick, president of Walker Bank and Trust of Salt Lake City. ' Vice president will be Robert T. Heiner, senior vice president of First Secruity Bank of Utah, Ogden. In addition to Schmutz board members v include Milan Packard, senior vice presdient of Central Bank and Trust Co. of Springville; -and Glen T. Anderson, An-derson, president of the Bank of American Fork. Convention activities got underway Sunday and continued through Wednesday. Key speakers at the opening session were Richard K. Hemingway, chairman of the board of Commercial Secruity Bank of Ogden and Willis W. Alexander, executive vice president of the American Banking Association . of Washington, D. C. Major addres, delivered Wednesday was by George A. LeMaistre, a Director of the Federal Depository Insurance Corp. |
