Show Schmutz Family Reunion Descendants of the John Schmutz-Clorinda Schlappi Schmuti union are holding a two-day gathering, August 18, in St. George, and August 19, at Woods Ranch. The St. George assembly is family business. The Cedar Canyon gathering is for fun, games and to get acquainted with each other. The affair is bi-annual, and this year the eldest son will be honored for his one hundredth birthday. Four of the twelve children of this pair will be attending. The oldest will be . 100 - the youngest is 75. Third and fourth generations will gather from Arizona, California, Colorado and northern Utah. Preparations for the crowd of 200 is under the direction of the grandchildren. Janice Schmutz Nisson, Granada Hills, California and Virginia Coates Pullins, Phoenix, Arizona are co-chairmen co-chairmen for the two-day programs and festivities. A written history has been prepared and will be distributed to those attending. at-tending. The period of time in the history covers the lives of persons from 1823 to date, and migration from Switzerland to St. George. Utah. |
