Show Coffman heads Health Department f , I . L . c' A V.V " programs of Missouri and Idaho. While serving with the District Health Dept. Coffman indicated that he would spend most of his time in the field at the various county health offices located in St. George, Cedar City, Kanab and Panguitch. "While serving in this capacity I have set three goals," Coffman stated. "The first goal is to develop a management study for the board of health with recommendations and , procedures that will help the board and the department function more efficiently in the delivery of health care services to the people," he said. A second object of Coffman is to improve the communications ""'tween ""'t-ween the Department, the Board ot Health and the County Commissioners, Com-missioners, and finally to improve the relationship between the District and Beaver County. Coffman received a bachelor's of Science degree from the University of California at Davis and Animal Science, and has obtained a master's degree in Public Health and Health Care Adminsitration from the University of Missouri. Coffman is married to the former Beth Corry of Cedar City and they have three children including a daughter, Rebecca, a student at Ricks College; a son, Scott, a student at Woods Cross High School in Bountiful and a daughter Evelyn, a junior high student. While in the area Coffman will resident with Mr. and Mrs. Scott Urie at 283 Dewey Avenue in Cedar City. BILL COFFMAN Assuming the temporary position as the Action Director of the Southwest South-west District Health Department is Bill Coffman. He succeeds Dr. David Trafton who resigned the position effective July 31. Coffman brings to the position a wide range of experience in health delivery systems. Before assuming the temporary position he has served for the past two'years as coordinator of the district and county health departments for the State Health Dept. Prior to that he was Health Officer in Idaho for five years and served in the regional medical |
