Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be received re-ceived by the State Koad Commission Com-mission of Utah, Room 608 State- Office- Building, Salt Lake City, Utah, until 2 o'clock p. m. Tuesday, August 18, 1970, and at that time publicly opened op-ened for construction of Safety Modifications in Washington County, the same being that section of Interstate Highway No. 15 From Middleton to the Washington-Iron County Line, identified as Federal Aid Project Pro-ject No.'s 1-15-1 (26) 9 and 1-15-1 (25) 27. The length of road to bo constructed or improved is 31.996 miles, ant the principal princi-pal items of work are approximately approx-imately as follows: 20,000 Cu. Yds. of Borrow, 24,795 Lin. Ft. of Beam Guard Rail and 273 Each Concrete Sign Foundations. Founda-tions. The project is to bo completed com-pleted in 80 working days. Froqualiflcation of bidders is required. The attention of bidders is directed to the Special Provisions Provi-sions covering subletting or assigning the contract. In conformity with the Federal-aid Highway Act of 1908 the U. S. Department of Labor has certified the wage rates for this project which are the minimum wages to be paid on the project. These rates are made a part of the contract documents. The attention of bidders is directed to the fact that this Commission has been advised by the Wage and Hour Division, Divi-sion, U. S. Department of Labor, La-bor, that contractors engaged in highway construction work are required to meet the provisions pro-visions of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, (52 Stat. 10G0). The State Highway Department, Depart-ment, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Commerce Com-merce (15 C.F.R., Part 8), issued is-sued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination dis-crimination on the ground of race, color, or national origin. Proposal forms, plans, and specifications are on file in the office of the State Road Commission, Com-mission, Salt Lake City, and the office of its District Engineer Eng-ineer at Cedar City, Utah, where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specifications, Speci-fications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained only at the Commission Offices in Salt Lake City, upon application applica-tion and payment of a fee of $5.00, no part of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a bid bond from an approved surety company on forms provided pro-vided by the Commission; or in lieu thereof, cash, certified check, or cashier's check for not less than 5 of the total amount of the bid, made payable pay-able to the State Road Commission, Com-mission, as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder bid-der will execute the contract and furnish the contract bonds as required. The right to reject re-ject any or all bids is reserved. Any additional information may be secured at the office of the State Road Commission. Dated this 25th day of July, 1970.
