Show Cedar team wins 1 Senior Little League tournament With tin (Vdar City Senior Utile League baseball leani an easy winner in the southern south-ern Region playoffs held in Parowan last Friday and Saturday, Sat-urday, the Pa rowan Seniors came up with second place even though they didn't win either of their games. In the Friday games the Cellar Ce-llar team took the measure of the Richfield team by a 10- 2 score in the first encounter. In the second game the Tri-City Tri-City team (Kanab-Orderville-I Fredonia) downed the Paro-' wan team by a 10 to 1 score. But this game had already been forfeited by the Tri-City nine for some reason or other making them ineligible to compele. Because of this t lie Pa rowan tram came up against the strong Cedar City team in the championship game Saturday at (i p. m. and paired the Tri-City Tri-City and Richfield teams in the 4 o'clock game. The Richfield Rich-field team downed the Tri-City Tri-City boys by 9 to 3 in this game which moved along in record time. With Craig Bent ley on the Mound for Parowan in the championship game, all went well for the home team for three innings, as he did very well during the three frames and had fine support from his teammates. In their first time at bat the Parowan team got two runs. Craig Bentley got a double and it was followed by a home run over the right field fence by Kris Bentley. And this lead held up for three innings. In the fourth frame the Cedar Ce-dar team came up with two runs the same way Parowan got theirs, a double and a home run to tie the score. Then a throwing error to third base gave Cedar its tie-breaking run and them went on to win by a 12 to 2 score. When Craig Bentlc-y tired on the mound, Kris Bentley took over for two innings, and was charged with the loss.
