Show Junior High School students aid in city-vide cleanup On tlie second Friday of the Clean up and Beautification campaign, the Cedar City Junior Jun-ior High School made a vast contribution to the project, according to Forrest Hunter, Beautification Chairman. The anti-litter campaign was under un-der the direction of Dee Smith, Vice Principal of the Junior High. According to Mr. Smith, the City was divided into eight sections witli about 75 students stu-dents and three teacher assigned as-signed to each section. The students and teacher supervisors super-visors were bussed to the outskirts out-skirts of the city. They were supplied with large paper bags by 7-Up Bottling Company and Dennett Plumbing Company. Com-pany. The students worked toward the center of town, picking up litter on the way. Trucks were provided to follow fol-low the students and pick up the litter bags. About 8 large truck loads of trash were haul, ed to tlie City Dump during the day, according to Mr. Smith. The Junior High would like to challenge the City to remain re-main litter free. It will take some vigilance on the part of everyone. |
