Fnds will be used for physical education educa-tion complex. South Elementary Parent-Teacher Assn. presents funds for physical ed. complex through the PTA assistance for the beautiful landscaping of the school, he said. In addition funds in the past have been used to help sponsor scholarships in special spec-ial education to teachers' in the district and the South Elementary El-ementary PTA has also contributed con-tributed to scholarship funds in education at Southern Utah State College, it was noted. A check in the amount of $100 was turned over to principal princ-ipal Clemont Adams of the Cedar South Elementary School this week by the Parent-Teachers Association of that .school. The funds represent the annual an-nual project of the PTA and constitutes earnings at several sever-al fund raising projects including in-cluding the annual family night and school pictures. Officers of the PTA indicated indi-cated that the funds would be used for the development of an outdoor physical education edu-cation complex. Principal Adams Ad-ams decided that suggested items in the complex would be a cinder track, an obstacle course, broad jump pit, hand-. i ball courts, and other items that might be erected through the contributed funds. Principal Adams indicated that the annual contribution by the PTA has provided needed help in the growth and development of the school. For several years the funds were used on a match basis, to install sprinkling systems in undeveloped areas of the school grounds. Through the funds wood decking has been placed under un-der the playground equipment to facilitate its use during inclement in-clement weather. Funds at one time were used to construct con-struct a fench to seperate the playground and parking area and shrubs were acquired |
