I Cedar High School Redmen pulled a big upsett in league wrestling Thursday evening even-ing when they took the measure mea-sure of the Parowan Rams 27-19 27-19 in a match at the Cedar High School gymnasium. A highlight of the match was the 'battle between Kevin Taysom of Cedar and Jeff Taylor of the Rams. The two men. wrestling in the 119 weight class, had met on two previous occasions and fought to a draw each time. Thursday Taysom picked up a victory, 6-2 to break that deadlock and give Taysom the top seeding in the southern district of Region Eight. A classical match, these two evenly matched grapplers I gave fans a good show. Going Go-ing into the final round of the match the two were still knotted at 2-2 before Taysom som picked up a reversal to I take the lead and picked up the victor. The Redmen took off to a 16-0 lead in the first four bouts of the match with the Rams coming back to move within two points at 14-16 In the middle weights. Turning point of the match came when Stan Esiplin pick-i pick-i ed up a 8-6 decison over Ralph Lister of the Rams. With only 30 seconds remaining In the I match Lister held a three point advantage in the scoring scor-ing at 6-3. Eyiplin came up with a reversal to move with- in one point and in the final seconds gained paints for a near pin to pick up the victory vic-tory and iput the team victory on ice for fine Redmen.
