Kenneth Huish, dean of Applied Arts at Dixle College will be th,e featured rpeaker at a Eagle Scout Roundup to be held Wednesday, Feb. 24 at the Southern Utah State College Student Center. Sponsored by the Cedar Breaks District, Boy Scouts of America the activity will pay honor to all Eagle Scouts in the district. Purpose of the meeting, according to general chairman, A. Richard Olds, is to rededicate the Eagle Scouts to scouting and to give recognition recog-nition of their achievement during national scouting month. Activities will include a reception re-ception for all Eagle Scouts at 6:30 p.m. in the SUSC Student Stu-dent Center. Reception line will include Cedar Breaks District Scout officials and friends of scouting. , A banquet will be served at 7 p.m. with Eagle Scouts to be guests of other scouters,. parents and friends in attendance. attend-ance. Tickets for the event are available through the sponsoring organizations of the scout troops including LDS Wards. The guest speaker, Is a long-time . scouter, having served many years with the program in many positions. He Is the recipient of the coveted cov-eted Silver Beaver Award. Huish is a former professional router, serving for sometime as an assistant scout executive execu-tive In California. He Is presently District Chairman of the Zion ' Park District, BSA. |
