Show Funeral Services Honor Austin Benson of the flag and a graveside ceremony was conducted by members of the American Legion Le-gion Post No. 74. Additional graveside services were also performed by officers of the BPOE Lodge No. 1556, to which Benson held membership. Special musical numbers in- J eluded a vocal solo,' "Unanswered "Unans-wered Yet," by Ralph Hafen and a vocal duet, "Beyond the Sunset," by Mr. and Mrs. Howard How-ard Wood. Prelude and post-lude post-lude music was by Louise Barron. Bar-ron. Benson was born in Paro-wan Paro-wan August 21, 1914, a son of James Monroe and Amanda Jensen Benson. He married AUSTIN BENSON Elva Ence May 11, 1938, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Survivors include his wife and a son, Lewis James Benson, Ben-son, both of Cedar City, and three daughters: Mrs. Mar-lene Mar-lene Beal, Mrs. Rodney (Connie (Con-nie Lou) Jones, and Sherry Benson, all of Las Vegas, Nev. Other survivors include three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Colleen Clark, Salt Lake City. Funeral services were held Friday, July 14, at the Cedar Sixth Ward LDS Chapel for Austin Benson who died of a heart attack at his home July 10. Speakers at the services included in-cluded Keith Cripps and Frank Petty. Prayer at the mortuary prior to the services was by Collins Clark, and the invocation was by Henry P. Dotson. Benediction was given by Boyd Bladen and the dedication ded-ication of the grave at the Cedar City Cemetery was by Rulon Wood. Conducting was Bp. O. Kent Hulet.
