Show Iron County Youth Attend Ut. State Workshop Two Iron County youths this week joined other youths of the state at the annual Youth Conservation Workshop being held at Utah State University Universi-ty and being sponsored by the USU Extension Service and the Utah Soil Conservation Districts. Dis-tricts. The workshop opened Monday and will continue through Friday. Representing Iron County are Kent Holt of Beryl and Kevin Crawford of Cedar City. The participants heard a Keynote address Monday by J. Whitney Floyd dean, college col-lege of Natural Resources. During the week each workshop work-shop group will have met with specialists in the five conservation conser-vation areas of forestry, soils, range, wildlife and water, and will participate in field trips. Evening speakers during the week include J. M. Bagley, director, di-rector, Utah Water Research Laboratory; B. Delworth Gardner, Gard-ner, agricultural economist; John Swenson, chairman, the chairman of the Education Committee, Utah Soil Conservation Conser-vation Districts, and Dr. Kenneth Ken-neth W. Hill, director, USU Experiment Ex-periment Station. |
