Batty was appointed as a carpenter and painter in the physical plant operations de- A reorganization of the College Col-lege of Southern Utah Board of Trustees was effected at the regular monthly meeting held by the board at CSU Saturday, July 15. The new chairman, unanimously elected by the board, is Kumen Gardner, Cedar Ce-dar City livestockman and former for-mer state legislator. He replaces re-places Warren H. Bulloch, Cedar Ce-dar City, who resigned from the board to assume a position posi-tion on the Utah Coordinating Coordinat-ing Council for Higher Education. Edu-cation. The CSU Board also unanimously unani-mously re-elected Dr. Reed W. Farnsworth, Cedar City, as vice chairman. The executive committee is composed of Mr. Gardner, Dr. Farnsworth, John T. Vernieu, Richfield; Mrs. Doyle Sampson, St. George, and Elden J. Yergensen, Cedar Ce-dar City. partment. He will assist with general maintenance. Dale De-Mille De-Mille was appointed as a grounds assistant. Out-of-State travel was approved ap-proved for Boyd Adams, CSU athletic director, to go to Denver, Den-ver, Colo. Cannon, Jr., coordinator of placement and financial aids was authorized auth-orized to travel to Montana State University at Bozeman, Mont, to attend workshop and informational meetings for financial fi-nancial aid officers Aug. 10 and 11. D. C. Schmutz of the CSU school of sciences was given permission to attend the annual conference of Western New Board Members New members of the CSU Board are Mr. Yergensen, Bernard Ber-nard P. Brockbank and Bennie Schmiett, Salt Lake City, and Eobert P. Stewart, Roy. Bonding Resolution The Board approved a three-part three-part bonding resolution which included a recommendation for the combining of all future housing bonds under one system sys-tem to be known as the dining din-ing and housing system; acceptance ac-ceptance of a bid from the Department De-partment of Housing and Urban Ur-ban Development to buy $280,-000 $280,-000 in Series D. Bonds for the new Juniper Hall wing, and acceptance of an interest rate of three percent for the bond transaction. Approval was given to install in-stall a sprinkling system and plant lawn in front of the Physical Education Building.
