Show BPW Club Holds nnual Christmas Party , The annual Christmas party f the Cedar City Business and Professional Women's Club was held at Sullivan's Cafe with forty-one members and seventeen guests present. Mrs. Clara Knell, president, welcomed wel-comed everyone with a special Christmas message. The tables were beautiful in colors of green, gold, and red with holly and lighted candles in colored glass cups. The meeting was under the direction of the Christmas Committee with Mrs. Blanche otson, chairman, and members mem-bers Mrs. Marie Bunnell, Pearl Rogers, Christie Paddock, Vera Sherratt, Iva Harrison, and Ora Price. Mrs. Dotson introduced Mrs. Jackie Logsdon, Dauna Sand-mier, Sand-mier, Betty Lynch, three sisters sis-ters who entertained with the following songs: "That Christmas Christ-mas Feeling" and a medley of "White Christmas," "Winter Wonderland," and "Silent Night." They also sang an original song composed by them "The Glory of Christmas." Christ-mas." Mrs. Elaine Southwick, who has been Professor of Elementary Education and Dean of Women at the col- J.ege, now retired, was introduced. intro-duced. She read a Christmas and New Year's experience entitled en-titled "All is Calm and All is Bright." Everyone joined in singing "Jingle Bells" which was Santa's cue to appear with her pack of gifts. The one and only Santa loaned them one of his charming helpers. Miss Mamie Eck, who distrih-! distrih-! uted gifts to everyone with an appropriate comment for each. |
