Show Mrs. Stark Named As Hostess For "Welcome Wagon" Mrs. Forrest Stark of Cedar i City has accepted a position of Welcome Wagon Hostess after completing a course of training recently in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Stark is one of Welcome Wel-come Wagon's approximately 5,000 hostesses who are making mak-ing approximately a million calls annually on families in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Puerto Rico and Trinidad, embracing more than 3,000 cities. Welcome Wagon service is one not only of public relations, rela-tions, but, more important, it .meets a present day need in j the field of human relations. Calls are made' in behalf of sponsors on such important family occasions as the birth of a baby, sixteenth birthdays, birth-days, engagement announcements; announce-ments; also when families move locally in a community and when they arrive in a community as new residents. Calls are also made on special spec-ial occasions such as Golden Wedding Anniversaries and other special family events, Mrs. Stark stated. Mrs. Stark, on behalf of her sponsors in Cedar City, will take religious and civic information infor-mation to the families on whom she calls. With her basket of gifts, she will extend ex-tend for those sponsors to the people of Cedar City the old-fashioned hospitality for which Welcome Wagon is so well known. |
