Show Buddy Poppy Day Gives Chance To Show Patriotism "Men now fighting and dying dy-ing in Viet Nam and their dependents will be helped by the funds raised from the annual an-nual sale of V. F. W. Buddy Poppies. Buying and wearing a Buddy Poppy is proof of patriotic citizenship." This opinion was voiced by Commander Warren A. Green of the local Veterans of Foreign For-eign Wars Post in announcing the annual sale of V.F.W. Buddy Poppies on the streets of Cedar City. Members of the V.F.W. and Ladies Auxiliary Auxil-iary will be offering citizens an opportunity to make contributions con-tributions by purchasing and wearing Buddy Poppies on May 13. V.F.W. and Auxiliary officers offi-cers point out that one cent from the sale of each Buddy Poppy goes to suport the V.F. W. Home for Orphans and Widows of Veterans at Eaton Rapids, Michigan. This unique child-village has attained a world-wide reputation in providing pro-viding hundreds of orphan boys and girls the kind of home all of us enjoy as Americans. Amer-icans. More than 200 orphans or-phans of veterans are leading happy lives there at the present pres-ent time. Other . |
