Show NEWS FROM NEWCASTLE Mrs. Norma Christensen Newcastle people participating participat-ing in the regional dance festival fes-tival held Saturday in the Dixie Sun Bowl in St. George, include Janet, Madeline and Joan Tullis; Joy Woolsey, Donna, Janeen, and Rita Hulet; Hu-let; Helen Forsyth, Becky Christensen. The girls spent the day in St. George practic- intT nnrl cwimminiT TVTrs TVTa rv Lake residents, were visitors over the weekend at the home ' of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. j Hart. Mrs. Murphy is a sister i of Shirley. The Murphys are moving to Florida. Mrs. Nita Rae Hulet and family visited in St. George Saturday at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Leav-I Leav-I itt, and also with her aunt, Mrs. Juanita Brooks. Nita i Tullis and Mrs. Marian Woolsey Wool-sey took the group to St. George and chaperoned them during the day. Sophiah Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Uriah Jones, was supposed to dance in the festival, but became be-came ill and was confined to the Valley View Medical Center Cen-ter for several days. Several townspeople attended attend-ed funeral services Saturday in Enterprise for Mrs. Heber Holt. She is the mother of Mrs. Richard Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Murphy Mur-phy and little son, former Salt Rae's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Reber of Mesquite, Nevada, also joined the family fami-ly there. The Hulet family visited vis-ited with Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Hulet in St. George before returning home. Weekend visitors at the Darwin Dar-win Hulet home were Revoe's mother, Mrs. Ray Daniels of Orofino, Idaho, and also her twin sister. Mrs. DeVere Alger Al-ger and three children of Anaconda, Ana-conda, Montana. Marsha Harrison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Harrison, Har-rison, was a contestant in the high school rodeo held Friday and Saturday in St. George. Marsha was one of the finalists final-ists and will participate in the state high school rodeo finals to be held in Vernal at the end of the month. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Hulet were Mrs. Margie Hawkins of Idaho and Mrs. Dema Randall Ran-dall of Enterprise, also Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gleason of Logan, and Mr. and Mrs. La-vell La-vell Robinson of Boise, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Piatt and family were weekend visitors vis-itors here from their home in Moapa, Nevada. |
