Show Home Garden Plans Suggested By Extension Service When, where, and how to plant a home garden are all covered in a new Utah State University Extension Services publication now available at the county agent's office. Extension Circular 337, "Vegetable "Ve-getable Garden Guide,' written writ-ten by Arvil L. Stark, extension exten-sion horticulturist and landscape land-scape improvement specialist, points out that growing a garden gar-den is a pleasurable diversion. In addition, Dr. Stark says, gardening provides exercise for members of the family, saves money on the grocery bill and the "vegetables cooked cook-ed fresh from the garden are more delicious to eat." The new circular has information infor-mation on soil preparation, seeds, time of planting, depth, thinning, spacing, rotation, watering, weeding and fertilizing. |
